A Kenyan woman has passed away in Dallas, TX after a long illness bravely borne. Mrs Jennie Sainah passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2010.

Jennie bravely fought two very rare neuromuscular diseases, POEMS and ALS since September 2005 when she was first diagnosed with the ailments. She has been bed ridden, and in and out of hospital since November 2006.  Jennie suffered a massive cardiac arrest on April 15, 2010 that resulted in extensive damage to her brain. She eventually succumbed to the illnesses on Wednesday May 12 2010.

Jennie hailed from Eldoret, Kenya. She settled in Denton Texas in 1992. She was the wife Joseph Sainah of Denton, TX, mother to Jeffrey, Jessie, and Jerry. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Felicitas Korir of Ngechek Village in Nandi, Kenya. She was the sister to Julie Bore, Jossie, Jackie, John, Janet and Paul. She was a sister-in-law to Sam Bore of Grand Prairie, TX.

With the numerous hospitalizations and extensive treatments spanning over four years, the family has accumulated insurmountable medical bills. A fundraiser to offset the medical bills and funeral expenses will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 7:00pm at Upendo Baptist Church, on 916 N Jupiter Road, Garland, TX 75042.

Family and friends will be meeting DAILY from 7pm-9pm for prayers and encouragement at Sam & Julie’s residence at 304 Brookhaven Grand Prairie, TX 75052.

On Wednesday, May 19 2010, the prayers will be held at Joseph and Jennie’s residence at 217 Pear Tree Pl Denton, TX 76207.

Jennie will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 22 2010 in Denton. Details will be announced later.

May the Lord rest Jennie in eternal peace.
